Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
The quote form doesn't ask for your name or phone number. It requests gender, birth date, your self-assessment of health, tobacco use, the amount of coverage you want, and the term length. Those six data points are sufficient for the carriers to generate their rates. Personal information—your name, address, and detailed health history—is only collected if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates quoted are the prices each carrier calculates for the health class you indicated. After you apply, the underwriting process may confirm, improve, or adjust your class. These quotes are strictly informational and do not represent a guarantee of any specific price. The actual premium is determined during underwriting after a carrier reviews your full application.
What happens when I click Apply?
Selecting a carrier begins a secure application process prefilled with the information you provided. The application runs on the carriers' platform and can be paused and resumed. You add your name and other application details, then sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the specific carrier, coverage amount, and your health profile. Most carriers now offer accelerated underwriting programs that can make immediate-decision offers to qualified applicants without a medical exam. The details for each quote show whether an exam is expected, conditional, or not necessary.
Is a longer term better?
The term determines how long the coverage stays in force at the locked-in rate. Shorter terms (10, 15 years) have lower monthly costs but expire sooner. Longer terms (20, 25, 30 years) cost more per month but protect your rate over more years. Choose a term that aligns with the period when income would be most critical—your mortgage payoff date, children's independence timeline, or business obligations.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool collects no contact information; we don't sell or share visitor data; our measurement system is cookieless. Check the privacy page for a complete breakdown of what information is collected by whom and what isn't.
