Burbank highlight
Walt Disney Studios
The company's main California production facility, established in 1940 and still the center of Disney's animation and live-action film production.

Walt Disney Studios moved to Burbank in early 1940 from its previous location in Silver Lake. The company financed the new studio with earnings from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the complex opened as a purpose-built production facility with stages, administrative offices, and post-production capabilities. The studio was designed to be efficient and expandable, allowing Disney to grow production capacity as the company expanded into new forms of entertainment.
The Burbank facility became the center of Disney's creative output for decades. It is the home studio for Disney's animation division, where feature films, television animation and other projects are produced. The lot has remained continuously active in production and remains a major employer in Burbank, representing both the company's history in the city and the current scale of entertainment-industry work there.
For families with members working in animation, film production, or the creative industries, life insurance planning often means accounting for irregular income, project-based work and the importance of income replacement during gaps between assignments. A term policy sized for the household's actual income, not average income, can bridge those gaps.
